The topic of the Holy Spirit consumed Jesus’ attention, especially as He neared His death on the cross. He claimed its power (Luke 4:18), said it was how He cast out demons (Matthew 12:28), taught through it (Acts 1:2), promised it to His disciples (Acts 1:8), and said they needed this more than they needed Him (John 16:7).

Jesus reassured His disciples with these words, “I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” (John 14:16).

“Christ… had an infinite variety of subjects from which to choose, but the one upon which He dwelt most largely was the endowment of the Holy Spirit. What great things He predicted for the church because of this endowment. Yet what subject is less dwelt upon now? What promise is less fulfilled?” (Ellen White, 1 Selected Messages, p. 156-157)

We think it’s time to change that scenario. That’s why we’ve dedicated this section of God Led to understanding the Holy Spirit’s work. Won’t you join us in seeking God’s greatest gift – the indwelling Holy Spirit?
